Benedicta Apuamah participated as an invited speaker in the ScholarWaka Scholarship Workshop, a free two-day online scholarship clarity session designed to support students and early-career professionals seeking scholarship and study opportunities.
During the session Benedicta shared reflections from her professional and academic journey and offered practical guidance on applying for scholarships, building relevant leadership experience, and positioning oneself for international academic opportunities. Her contributions drew on more than seven years of programme management and youth development experience across Nigeria, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
About Benedicta Apuamah
Benedicta is a pharmacist, global health expert, and author of Biking Through Africa & Beyond. She holds a Master’s degree in International Health and Social Management from MCI — The Entrepreneurial School (Austria), where she was awarded the Ban Ki-moon and AAI One-World Scholarships for her contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Her work focuses on women’s health, youth inclusion, gender equity, migration, and building resilient health systems. Benedicta has presented at international forums including UNFPA Berlin, the Geneva Health Forum, and the European Health Forum Gastein.
